Davis Square Architects, Inc.

The changing of the firm’s name from Mostue & Associates Architects, Inc. to Davis Square Architects, Inc. was to reflect the valuable contributions and expanded roles of its employees and their dedication to designing respectful buildings. Since the reason for the name change was to be more encompassing, the rebranding process was also very inclusive, with office-wide design charrettes and input.

Yuling melded the old logo into the new by preserving certain elements, like the red square and typography. The updated logo plays with positive and negative space and the hierarchy of text, and is visually dynamic and energetic. The goal of the rebranding was not to completely do away with the old, but rather, transform and interject new life into it.
