The Bowery Mission- 2022 Valentine Gala
Client: The Bowery Mission
In 2022, The Bowery Mission celebrated 150 years of mission work to some of the most vulnerable neighbors experiencing homelessness and hunger in New York City. Those in need are welcomed into a community of deep faith, care, and compassion where they receive hope, healing, and restoration.
Spirited yet refined, the graphic styling for the event is Yuling’s modern take on typewriter lettering. Playing off of the theme of Love Letters, The Bowery Mission lettering was organically shaped along the undulating form of the word Love.
To represent the long-standing legacy of the Mission, we studiously placed each lettering in “The Bowery Mission” to form a silhouette of the iconic Lower East Side campus. We wanted the Gala designs to be ode to the compassionate love and care provided.
